Hello!

I am trying desperately to part with a set for "Into the Woods." I would love to keep it but have no room to store it. I am not asking for any payment or donation. I simply want it to have a good home (sounds like a puppy, doesn't it). You would simply need to come and pick it up. It is at Northridge High in Layton.

The set was a donation from Hale Center Theatre in West Valley City. It was built by them used in their Fall 2008 production and then came to Northridge High School for the Spring of 2009. I don't really want to discard it because it is so well built. The majority of the frame is welded steel.

It was designed for an arena stage and we manipulated it for a thrust stage. I have pictures from the NHS production that I can email you if you're interested in seeing them and you can view the set in the round at http://www.halecentretheatre.org/gallery/intothewoods/. What I have remaining is the center circle from the NHS production but not the upstage ledge behind it.

The set separates into four "pie pieces" and a center piece. It fits easily in a full size U-haul truck. It could probably go into 3 or 4 pick up truck loads as well. It measures about 3 1/2' tall in the center and has a diameter of about 18'.

It could be used for a bunch of different shows other than "Into the Woods." I am hoping that you who are reading this email will either have a need for the set yourselves or will know someone who could use it or even has room to store it. :)

email me at jflygare@dsdmail.net or call 801-402-8618. I will probably have to discard it by mid-September 2009 if I haven't had any bites from someone wanting the set.

Thanks much and happy theatreing (it is a verb after all)! ;-}
